WHY IS FALL PREVENTION PRIVATE PAY?
Fall prevention defaults to private pay as Medicare and other insurances do not participate with physical therapy preventative care.
WHY SHOULD I HIRE A PRIVATE PHYSICAL THERAPIST?
Hiring a private physical therapist is an excellent solution if your insurance participated visits stopped sooner than you would have preferred. For stroke survivors or those with Parkinson’s Disease, or other neuro diagnoses, this may allow for the extra time needed for your body to heal or adapt. For others, the decision to hire a physical therapist may be to achieve personal mobility goals in order to confidently participate in important activities, such as a long-awaited vacation or family gatherings.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY PHYSICIAN?
No. You do not need a referral from your physician. In the state of Idaho, you have direct access to physical therapy services.
WILL YOU BILL MY INSURANCE?
No. We will not bill your insurance. Medicare and other insurances do not pay for fall prevention services.
WILL A PHYSICAL THERAPIST WORK WITH ME EACH VISIT?
Yes. Our Cypress Team consists of licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists. We do not utilize personal trainers or therapy assistants.
DOES THE VISIT HAVE TO TAKE PLACE IN MY HOME?
No. We can meet you on the Greenbelt or in a park. However, most visits take place in the home or place of residence.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, our business and physical therapists are fully insured for professional liability and all state licensure/regulations.
HOW LONG ARE THE VISITS?
The initial assessment is usually 75 minutes, with subsequent visits lasting approximately 60 minutes.
WILL THESE VISITS COUNT TOWARD MY HSA?
I do not have a firm answer for this question — it varies depending on your HSA.
WILL I RECEIVE ANY DOCUMENTATION OF THE VISIT?
Yes, at the end of each visit you will receive written documentation, as well as a receipt for services rendered. The documentation is intended for you, it is not meant to be submitted to insurance.
WHAT AREA WILL YOU SERVE?
Our area of service currently covers most of Ada County. Under special request we can travel further yet this does incur additional cost for travel and mileage. Please do not hesitate to call with your questions, we want to serve our community as best we can.
